What Size Dumpster Do You Need?

Choosing the properly sized dumpster you need can be a challenge. There are two primary factors to consider when choosing your roll-off dumpster: Size and Weight. Cincy Disposal offers a wide range of dumpster sizes that have varying weight limits. You'll want to be sure that you choose a dumpster that's going to allow you fit all the contents inside the dumpster without exceeding the weight limit.

The information below will help you determine the dumpster that is right for your project.  If you still have more questions, we’re here to help!  Give us a call!

Size

Dumpsters are measured in cubic yards. 1 cubic yard is equal to a cube of space that is 3 feet long, 3 feet wide and 3 feet high.

You’ll need to keep in mind that various materials will fit within a dumpster differently – taking up different amounts of space.

1 cu. yd = 3 ft x 3 ft x 3 ft

Weight

Drywall is far denser than cardboard thus a dumpster full of drywall would weigh considerably more than a dumpster full of cardboard – even though both may fit in a 10 yard dumpster.

** Weight limits are specified for each dumpster size and overweight fees may apply.

1 Ton = 2,000 pounds
